Manners

I don't know what has happened to our society. I remember when i first got to 7th grade I had an uncle in 12th grade and i didn't even dare to go and talk to him because I would have to go into the senior hallway. Now days little kids don't have respect or manners at all. In the lunch line a few days ago I had a little 7th or 8th grader tell me that if I try budge him in the line he would kick my rear end but he used a 3 letter word instead. It could because of the raising of the children these days. Life is much more hectic and chaotic than it was 5,10,30 years ago. I guess all we can do is just hope for the best.

I KNOW! Those bratty little kids budge me all the time! I swear we weren't that way when we were in 7th grade!

Hmmm, not sure if there's much of a difference, but the manners is definitely a thing gone bad. I don't think you should get used to it at all! But instead, maybe practice being more courteous yourself and people learn from that.

Sometimes people are obnoxious because they think that's what is expected of them, when in reality, maybe they were never taught?

Do we teach manners? I don't know. Do parents? Maybe not to the extent it was during the 50's and before.

What's changed in our society to cause such uncivilized behaviors?
